Chocolate Fondue

It is really windy today.  I went out for a walk and was nearly blown into the middle of the road! Good job I have plenty of weight to hold me down -lol!  Speaking of which, I weighed in today and am down another pound.  I am happy to settle of a pound or two a week now.  I have been drinking lots of water and walking everywhere. Feeling much better for it too.  I've had to cut out drinking copious amounts of tea in the late evenings though as I couldn't sleep due to caffeine overload! I will have to buy some Tetley Decaf or try some herbal teas instead!

My family are starting to whinge about lack of baked goodies - so I suppose now they have had a month healthy eating I will have to make something today.  I've found a recipe for chocolate coconut squares that I'd like to try and I will have to make the recipe below for myself to help me resist the bad stuff!

Invites1

So much for my resolution to blog more!  Is it me or are a lot of bloggers off doing other things in January?  It seems quieter than normal around here but then again I haven't been around much myself. I have so much reading and catching up to do!

I have been focusing on my diet and fitness (see I have been keeping up with my other resolutions!) I have been absorbed in following my Sparkpeople food plan and have been walking and working out resulting in 13 pounds off so far.  I am really pleased and feeling so much better for it.

I am also in the middle of a big run of wedding invitations for a friends wedding (see pic above) so most of today will be spent working on those.  In fact most of the week will. At least it will take my mind off food.

Nearly halfway there....

Blimey - it's over a week since I was here.  I've been busy!

Busy making resolutions

1. Lose Weight

2.  Be Organised during the working week

3. Do more sewing

4. Be nicer to others

5.Blog more often (i just added that one)

Busy trying to stick to them, especially my number 1 one - I've joined Sparkpeople, a free diet program which is absolutely fabulous (thanks K) It's great for logging your food, exercise, water. It's got a fab community.  Advice that really makes sense.

Busy Wishing my son Happy 17th Birthday !

And busy going back to work (with a really bad cold). Why can't Christmas last for at least a month?

I am looking forward to the weekend and catching up with all your lovely blogs!

Happy New Year !

We had a lovely quiet New Years Eve - phone calls from most of the family, nice food and a few drinks to see in the New Year.

Earlier we saw St Trinians at the cinema - I loved it (and not just because it had my fav man, Colin Firth in) but J thought it was rubbish! Well you can't please everyone can you.
