De-clutter

I spent the last day of my 2 weeks Easter break from work (school) de-cluttering

De-cluttering my Bloglines....thanks for all the advice in my comments yesterday. It's been a great help.  I got rid of the blogs I'm not too connected with and the ones who hadn't posted in a while.  I've halved my subscriptions but it feels so much better.  Hopefully when they start to creep up again, i will do the same thing. I've also decided to limit my time online too.  I've got so many projects I want to tackle.

De-cluttering my wardrobe and cupboards...it was getting a bit crowded in there.  Now it is all neat & tidy and I have the added bonus of a big bag of things to sell on ebay.

De-cluttering the garden.....it has been a really nice spring day today.  Was this really just a week ago?! Lots of washing dried & sweeping done.  I planted a few garden containers too.

If only I've seen this earlier!

Flapjacks

We enjoyed a family Sunday lunch and this afternoon I baked flapjacks to be eaten later my my ever hungry lot.  Maybe while we enjoy some Sunday evening viewing

I love all the Nancy's - such a talented bunch and all gorgeous (i hate them). My favourite one so far is Jodie.........

Jodie

who I'd already seen winning the Biggest Loser (me being the reality tv watching queen ;) )

Blogs...so many to read, so little time!

I was up early this morning. I made myself my usual huge mug of tea and instead of jumping straight on the computer, I decided to get all my jobs done and out of the way. So I've been grocery shopping, to the post office to mail some ebay parcels, to the garage for air in tyres and petrol (wow - that stuff is getting expensive!), washed the car, cleaned the whole downstairs, and done three loads of washing - phew! It's all pegged outside drying too because for once it isn't actually raining and we are some slightly spring-like weather.  Actually I am keeping one eye on the washing line while typing because it suddenly became cloudy.

I've been thinking lately that I spend too much time on the internet.  It seems to suck my whole day in and only leave me with only a few hours to do everything else.  No wonder all my craft and diy projects are left unfinished.  I need to do more but I'm addicted to the internet.  Does anyone have any tips?  Maybe I will only allow myself a set amount of time online or only log on certain days? I am interested to how much time everyone else spends online.  I love reading blogs and my blogline feeds are growing by the day.  (I have over 250 - is that ridiculous?) There are so many fabulous blogs about.

If only  i could drag myself away for a while I maybe could make this apron  I've been drooling over...

isn't it fantastic? - I have to go here and have another look!

Now I am logging off for a bit. I'm going to do some sewing and make Chargrilled Chicken Pasta for dinner. yum.

Have a lovely weekend x

It was so tempting to run outside in my slippers and pj's and make footprints but I am too old now and thought of the cold.

Happy Easter

Hotcrossbun

"Hot Cross Buns, Hot Cross Buns, one a penny two a penny, Hot Cross Buns"

(sorry about the weird font sizes - I can't seem to change them!)

Easter seems to have sneaked up on me this year. I know it is earlier than usual. Heck I’ve only just recovered from Christmas.  On the News last night they said it was the earliest Easter for a nearly a Century and it won’t be this early again for 220 years. Good job - lol.  I haven’t done anything I planned to do.  I wanted to make a little twig tree and hang some little decorative eggs from it.  I was going to make a box to store all the Easter things (that I haven’t even bought!) in and then we could take it out every year and decorate for Easter. We had the traditional fish for Good Friday dinner, with parsley sauce, some lovely fluffy mash and fresh cauliflower & broccoli.

I am packing my winter woollies for a few days at the caravan, I wish it was a bit more spring like though, I'm fed up of cold weather.

Have a lovely weekend whatever you are doing and don't eat too many of these....

Tilda Stamps

Mar20skipsea

I'm back from the seaside for a couple of days.  We've had a good time.  Some of J's family, his mum, step daugther and nieces went with us this time.  It was hectic to say the least but good fun. It's nice to be home for a rest! Luckily when we go back on Sunday it's just the two of us..phew! Having said that, i love the family to come with us and enjoy themselves.

My plan was to start decorating the hall, stairs and landing but I am having serious trouble motivating myself to get it started. Instead I'm keeping my mind off things by doing a bit of card making....

Mar20tilda4

I used my new tilda stamps and watercoloured them.  I love this technique and could happily sit all day painting away.

Now I just need to stop looking at them and mount them onto a card!

Sizzix Big Shot

I have been at the caravan and had a lovely weekend but am I happy? NO I am not.  I have horrible PMT and am a right pain in the youknowwhat! I just pray for early menopause and be done with it all.

Although I am slightly excited because I won this on ebay

Sizzixbigshot

It is a Sizzix Big Shot - I have wanted for ages and it comes with a set of alphabet dies.  I have been back making cards recently so i decided to splurge. I already have a standard sizzix machine but it won't cut all the new dies that I want to use.  I can't wait for the new machine to arrive so I can play with it.  Sometimes I think I like buying card making supplies and equipment more than i like making them.

I also ordered some rubberstamps, ez mount  and watercolour pencils - somebody stop me!
