I've been away at the seaside and then rushing off to my brother's wedding for the weekend so no time to post. I have really enjoyed it all but will be so glad to get back to normal and perhaps do some of the crafts etc that I've been threatening to do for ages. I have lots of housework and laundry to do first and don't even mention the scary ironing pile that is growing by the hour! I have photos to share too when I get chance to load them onto my computer.
On Sunday we took a trip to the East Yorkshire Coast and visited the charming little village of Flamborough. It was a rainy day but the grey sky made a lovely background for the lighthouse which was flashing when we arrived. I'm just trying to squeeze in a few more day trips before the weather gets too wintery.
I work in school so I have had a 6 week summer break. It's gone too fast and i am back in work on Monday. But I have had fun. I've caught up on some reading and crafting and I've tested some new recipes (i will post details soon). I've also had a lovely, long, family summer holiday to Spain.
I've also had some fun days out.

Sunny Sewerby....lovely sunny day walking along the cliff tops and visiting Sewerby Hall and Gardens.
I am happy with how I spent this years summer break but I am sad it's over. You've got to make the most of summer because it just doesn't last long enough.
