I am sitting here after a lovely sleep and am all refreshed after the hectic week. I’m enjoying a huge mug of milky tea. I think I’ll have porridge for breakfast and then peg out lots of washing. I LOVE having washing on the line and the smell of line dried clothes and bedding. I get excited in March when the weather is eventually dry/warm enough to peg out. I get sick of seeing the clothes horse loaded with clothes trying their best to dry. Listening to the extremely funny Jonathan Ross on Radio 2 always gets my Saturday off to a good start.
I love the spoon I always eat my porridge with – I have had this spoon since I was a kid. It is nothing out of the ordinary but I just love old things. It's stamped WRCC (West Riding County Council which was abolished in 1974) I would love to know how old it is. It was probably from a school, hospital or similar, I have no idea where or when it was acquired.
The postman just brought me a parcel. It’s my order of the crafty bits I need to make my brother some wedding invitations. I need to make a start on them over this weekend. I also ordered a memory album to give to a family who we are good friends with. They tragically lost their mum/wife a month ago and I thought it would be a good project for them to work on together and maybe it will help them a little bit.
We are thinking of having a weekend away at my friend’s seaside caravan next weekend. ( I am giddy cos I love the seaside). But I am a little nervous of leaving the house in the hands of my 18-year-old son though. He promises to follow all the rule, but still? He had better look after my lovely little home. Well I will have to leave him in charge at some point or I’ll have to spend the next few years holiday-less. My 16 year old is going to stay with family, I am dreading the day I have to leave them both at home together. OMG double trouble.
On the menu tonight is some Chinese food. I will be trying this egg fried rice yum yum.
