Banner help!

Hey it's Sunny!  Thank goodness.  Washing line is full and windows cleaned. I still didn't make it to the car boot though. Oh well, I can always go next week.

I am going to my parents for Sunday Lunch too, so that means I can spend the late afternoon doing a bit of crafting, which I have neglected lately.  I really need to trace and cut out the burda pattern for trousers that I want to make.  I am going to try them in some cheap fabric from my stash and hopefully then I will make them in the white linen I've bought.  The are to complete the outfit for my brother's wedding. I am wearing a long wrapover dress/tunic with them and I also have some nice strappy wedge sandals so it is just the trousers I need.  I better get cracking though because the wedding is in 2 weeks.  Why do I always leave everything until the last minute?

Maybe I will also get around to reading these....

I need typepad banner help.  Can you change your banner on the basic plan or do I need to upgrade?  LucyLocket's very talented daughter is offering to make banners for extra pocket money.  Have a look at her work over on the blog. I am going to buy one but I need to know if I will be able to load it first.

It has been raining all week I am am getting fed up of it.  My washing is piling up and I can't go to the car boot sale.  Looks like I'm having another weekend indoors.

Slimming World Spicy Beef Stir Fry

I have been trying out a couple of recipes from my Slimming World Magazine

Firstly, I made Spicy Beef Stir Fry

it was lovely and I will definitely make it again. So easy to make and on a Slimming World Orginial day (red) it is free!

Heat a wok and spray with fry light.  Brown 1 lb (454g) of extra lean minced beef. Add 3 tbsp of mild curry powder and cook for 10 - 12 minutes. Add 11oz (312g) stir fry veggies and 3 - 4 tomatoes, chopped. Season and cook for another 10 - 12 minutes. Sprinkle with freshly chopped coriander and serve.

The next day I made Slimming World Stuffed Courgettes by simply halving 3 courgettes and scooping out the seeds with a teaspoon.  Fill generously with the leftover Spicy Beef Stir fry and cook in the oven for 30 minutes.  I was surprised at how tasty this was.  The courgettes were perfect.

I have spent the last two days in bed with a cold/virus/lurgy thing.  I am feeling much better today but totally fed up as it is the THIRD time I've been ill this year.  I suppose it doesn't help that I work in a school and my office doubles up as the medical room. So I am in contact with lots of germs and other nasties on a daily basis.  I am hopeful that one day I will become immune to them all. (No I don't mean the kids)

I received my Wicked CD in the post today.  If you are a fan of musicals you will LOVE this CD.  It is fab!  I really want to go to London and see the show but I know I will never get around to actually doing it, well not for a while anyway.  So instead I will crank up the volume and sing along. (When I am home alone, obviously)

I love Saturday evening TV - it has always been my favourite night to sit in and enjoy some family time, nice food and a glass of wine (or 3). At the moment I am loving.......

Any Dream will do (My fav Joseph's are Lee & Keith) but I don't know how much more of Andrew Lloyd Webber's strange face pulling I can take.

And Grease, (which I have to sky plus and watch on Sunday Afternoon - thanks to Elaine Paige BTW who was on the radio today and mentioned the couple who 'went' last night, before I'd watched it! Oh well) My fav Sandy and Danny are Anthony & Alison but I like them all.  Have you seen what Sinitta is wearing?  Very strange.

Oh and next week we have the delightful Eurovision Song Contest which I love to watch because it is so bad (we hardly ever get any points so we have fun shouting at the TV and complaining!) and Terry Wogan is so witty.

Flickr HELP!

It's been lovely and sunny for the last few days.  I wish we had more of this kind of weather.  it just makes such a difference to be able to get outside.  I've been reading in the garden with a cup of tea and I've been planting my tubs.  I am a rubbish gardener but I try! So no laughing at my pathetic planting!

I've joined this group - because pegging out my washing makes me so happy.  What a simple thing I am.

Tonight I've been out to the local indian restaurant AGAIN! It's not doing the diet much good but I was already drooling over the thought of their mouth watering onion bhajis. So when I got the invite I just had to go!  My new favourite dish is Sultana Lamb Passanda- wow it was good. I must be getting old though because I couldn't wait to get my pj's on when I got home.

I haven't had any crafting time all week and I really badly need some.  We have a long Bank Holiday Weekend here in the UK so I am hoping for the the nice weather to carry on and I can take my craft things out into the garden and do some sewing - lovely!
