As I've mentioned before, we are really lucky to have both my Father-in-law and my parents who are keen veg growers and allotments owners. They keep us supplied with a delightful selection of fresh produce all summer long. Lettuce, cucumbers, peppers, sweetcorn, beetroot, rhubharb, green beens, runner beans, broad beans, potatoes, cabbages, cauliflowers, onions, carrots, courgettes, bucket loads of tomatoes and lots of other goodies. We also get a dozen free range eggs from one of the other allotment owners every week for a £1!
Last week we visited the allotment to collect the first veg of the season and I took some pictures to share with you all.
This chair made me smile...so grand in the middle of all the mud and tomato plants.
I'm really looking forward to all the lovely salads and tasty soups to come!
Lovely food ... mmmmm, I feel quite hungry now! (Love those picture frames, by the way) x

This is torture to me! I have a yearning for an allotment, but with a waiting list of 70 people in my town, no chance...BUT we've chatted up our groundsman at work who has given us a bit of space to grow our own, where to start though it looks nothing like an allotment.Lucky you having all these fresh veg especially with food prices going up and up...do you have to do a bit of digging or can you just call in for your supplies I wonder?!

Hi, I'm also jealous of your lottie. We grow a lot at home but we're yearning for more room. You're doing really well and I love the way you've done you're pictures too.

Love the chair in the greenhouse! You're really lucky having all that fresh salad and veg grown for you. My Dad has recently started a small vegetable garden but they don't seem to produce enough to give away unfortunately. I have to pay Riverford Organics instead!
