Rubbish.

Thank you to the person/people who thought it would be funny to steal half a dozen wheelie bins from our street.  Now I have to sit and wait for the bin men to come and go out and plead with them to take the bags of rubbish away (they're a bit jobsworth & aren't allowed to take bags only bins.  Bins yes, extra bags.... no.) so let's hope they are in good spirits this fine and sunny morning.

While I wait, I am going to peruse the Heather Bailey website.  Have you seen it.  I nearly fainted with delight when I saw her new fabrics and scrapbooking supplies. OMG. And she delivers to the UK at a reasonable cost . I must surely be in heaven.

I have my eye on these two fabrics so far....

Home.

It's lovely to go away but after a week or so I am ready for home.  I got back on Monday night and spent yesterday in a laundry frenzy.  I did 7 loads (!) and still have some to tackle today.  Thank goodness the weather is still nice.

We did have a lovely time.  We had a walk and a visit to the pub most evenings which was lovely and relaxing.  We had family over to visit for a couple of days.  Visited lots of the seaside places nearby such as Bridlington, Hormsea, Filey, Scarborough and Flamborough. Ate too much. Drank too much. Same as usual.

I did manage to get through some of the books on my ever expanding book pile (thanks to this post, I now have to replace them!):

Tonight, I am looking forward to eating a healthier family meal of roast chicken, new potatoes ( does anyone else hate preparing these as much as me?) and veggies from the allotment.

Friday can not come around soon enough for me.  I have been mega busy lately. Work has been and still is crazy.  No time to blog, read or comment - I apologise!  (plus we are no longer allowed online at work during lunch - what a cheek!) Of course it will all change on Friday when I have 6 glorious weeks off - yippee!  So after I have spent the first 10 days at the caravan, I will then be back home for 4 days and then 4 days back at the caravan, right up until the end of the holidays.  I am so excited because I really need the break! I haven't even had time to write my 'to do' list, let alone tick anything off it! But it will include lots of cliff top walking, BBQs and picnics (cross your fingers for some sunny days!) plus watching Big Brother and also catching up with hours and hours of TV i've recorded yet haven't had a minute to watch. One programme I'm looking forward to is BBC2's Chinese Food Made Easy.  I love Chinese Food and want to learn to make it myself so it will be cheaper and healthier.
