School holidays - three weeks have by gone already. That was quick. Wow.
I am just eating my lunch of a chicken, coleslaw & salad wrap and a cup of tea. Lovely.
I have enjoyed being at home for a change and pottering about, doing this and that. Not having to rush everything is so nice. We decided to sand down & re-stain the outside windows and doors. We are half way through and now it is raining - oh well. Maybe not the greatest idea but at least we've made a start. It will be down tools until we get back from the caravan. We go tomorrow for 4 days, the weather forecast doesn't look great but that won't stop us enjoying it. Hopefully it will be dry enough for some walking on the beach.
Here are some photos I'd like to share with you from last week's trip to Scarborough:
It was a beautiful sunny day,
We walked miles, my poor feet had blisters,
good job we burned off some of the calories after eating a delicious lunch in this lovely seafront restaurant. J had fish and chips and I had fish pie. Then we popped next door and had dessert at the 50's diner on the seafront. J had an ice cream soda and I had lemon sorbet with vanilla icecream.
I did feel a little strange taking a photo of a grave but I really wanted to post it.
Looks like I'm not the only one enjoying Scarborough.
Hi Angie,
It's nice to have time at home pottering about isn't it, well maybe sanding and staining the windows is slightly more than pottering but you know what I mean! The weeks go by so quickly, it's scary.
Lovely pics of Scarborough, brings back memories of past visits there, such a picturesque resort. Sadly we won't be able to go this year (car trouble would you believe!)so I'll enjoy hearing about your trip instead. Enjoy the rest of the summer hols, speak soon.

Oh how I love this coast line...I adore the two sides of the town, I love people watching around here, the open top buses and the miles of sandy beaches...
